Next manager - options

It’s not often a manager turns it around from Moyes current position, it looks like the writings on the wall. So who could we replace him with?
Tuchel, Pochetino seem unlikely. The latter being more likely but will want a war chest.
Parker doesn’t have the pedigree and seems to be a short term impact manager without the skills to manage a biggish side.
What about taking a modern manager, a risk but seems to be working for others, eg Brighton.
Christian Streich from Friegberg?
Ruben Amorim At Sporting?
Oliver Glasner from Frankfurt?
Do we have the clout to attract a big name or upcoming star? I doubt we have a plan b lines up…a bit like Moyes

Eddie Howe at Newcastle could find himself out of a job at the end of the year.
Can’t help but think they want a bigger name at the helm before they splash some serious cash…… Although they are flying high right now, remains to be seen if he can keep it going however.

If Moyes goes mid season and Sullivan is in charge of the appointment, it’ll be Rafa Benitez on a contract until the end of the season.

Potter, to be, does not seem a good mid-season appointment.
The way he wants his team to play is quite unusual, and seems pretty Guardiola like. It needs intelligent and adaptable footballers, totally bought in and we'll drilled in his method and his thinking.
If he is given a couple of seasons at Chelsea to grow and have them grow he could be quite a side to watch. Obviously he'll be lucky to get 6 months there. They need to do with him what Arsenal have done with Arteta.
As for us. It's depressing. Moyes will come back, double down on Moyesball as his tried and trusted method. I expect to see all the 'old favourites' back in the side with new players benched except in an emergency...basically the way we started the season.
The Moyes rot set in when Irvine left, who was clearly the brains behind the operation. McKinlay and Warburton have simply been huge downgrades on Irvine and Pearce.
Reckon we'll limp through the rest of the season, expect we finish above Wolves, Bournemouth and Forest. I'm fearful frankly for who we end up with if Moyes goes mid season. Could see it being Dyche.

We're not getting a new manager. This would have been the absolute perfect time to do it, they won't what in their opinion will be rolling the dice.
As for Potter, a club like ours should have been his next step, a Champions League and Prem title chasing club appointing a geezer with 2 mid table finishes on his CV was a mental decision. He still might come good, but fuck me what a gamble.

Thomas Tuchel
The German lost his job as Chelsea manager earlier this season and he is still out of work.
Tuchel would be an incredibly ambitious appointment and who knows, he might not even be interested in taking the Hammers job.
There is no harm in asking though.
The former Borussia Dortmund boss loves his teams to play a high intensity, possession-based style of football. That’s exactly what we crave as West Ham fans. I would personally love Tuchel at the helm at the London Stadium.
Mauricio Pochettino
The Hammers owners allegedly tested the waters for the Argentinian back in September.
Ex-Tottenham manager Pochettino is now out of work, after being relieved of his duties with PSG at the end of last season.
His wife Karina still lives at the north London family home with son Maurizio according to The Daily Mail. This one seems like an absolute no-brainer in my opinion.
And the one I’m probably leaning towards…
Domenico Tedesco
The former RB Leipzig manager is currently out of work, after losing his job earlier this season.
Tedesco’s favoured formation is a 3-4-1-2.
DW recently explained how the Italian likes his team to operate:
Tedesco uses a back three/five in his build-up play with two pivot players staying narrow. The wing-backs provide width, the two strikers occupy their opponent’s last line of defense and the number 10 sits behind them. This structure organises Leipzig in a natural way as all five vertical lanes (wings, half spaces and centre lanes) on the pitch are occupied.
I genuinely don’t even think tactics like that are on Moyes’s.

Steven Gerrard
Gerrard was recently relieved of his duties as Aston Villa manager.
Sure, he struggled in his role at Villa Park, but he worked wonders during his time in charge of Rangers and at the end of the day, all young managers make mistakes early on in their careers.
The 42-year-old likes his teams to play an attractive brand of high energy football, and I actually think that he would be a good fit at the London Stadium. It would be a risky appointment, however.
Scott Parker
The 42-year-old Lambeth-born ex-Hammers is currently out of work after losing his job at Bournemouth.
Parker was a hero during his time at West Ham, although he undoubtedly tarnished his reputation in East London when he joined Tottenham.
A lot of time has passed though, and he is now a really exciting up and coming young manager.

It was always a massive risk for Chelsea to appoint Potter. An absolutely mental appointment, but that's Yanks who are new to the game for ya. He achieved 2 mid table Premier League finishes, and nothing of note in the cups, a team that should be top 4 guaranteed shouldn't be appointing some like that.
He might turn it around, but there isn't and never was any guarantee. Still, would take him at West Ham in a heartbeat. We should've been his 'next level', as I said previously.

I'm guessing Poch is being overlooked as whilst he overachieved at Spurs, he left them after a collapse in form, then got the PSG gig and is by and large deemed to not really have succeeded there either in what is largely a free hit and akin to winning the league with Celtic.
He's deemed a risk, someone still largely unproven, and there are other seemingly more proven managers out there.
Reckon he'll end up in Spain at some point, or maybe taking an Italian job at somewhere other than Juve.

Because his recent record isn't all that good. He needs us as much as we need him. His last 24 games with spurs he got 25 points (exactly the same as moyes here, funny enough) and he didn't do very well in Paris. He needs us as much as we need him

Graham Potter could be the absolute steal
Perhaps we hold on to Moyes until Lampard is sacked and they approach him - we save paying him off and get compensation from Everton.
Then wait for Potter who looks like he might fail fast , all the better for us though
